Skin Rejuvenation treatments

Synergie Professional Peel Treatments available at our skin clinic in Burleigh are specially formulated to smooth and rejuvenate the skin by gently resurfacing its outer layers. These treatments target surface irregularities, helping to reveal a more refined, revitalised complexion.

By removing the outermost layers of dead skin, Synergie Peels stimulate collagen production, even out skin tone, improve texture and hydration, reduce congestion, and enhance the overall appearance of the skin.

A personalised in-clinic consultation at our skin forum in Burleigh will assess your unique skin concerns and determine the most appropriate peel treatments and the ideal number of sessions needed to achieve optimal results.

How to prepare skin before a clinical treatment

To achieve optimal results and significantly enhance treatment outcomes at a skin clinic in Burleigh, individuals must be prepped with targeted cosmeceutical products. This integrated approach not only delivers superior outcomes but is also considered the safest and most effective method.

Pre-treating the skin helps minimize the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, supports optimal cellular function, and promotes faster, more effective recovery following treatment.

To prepare the skin for clinical procedures, the following Synergie Skin ingredients are essential:

- Vitamin A in the form of stabilised retinol, such as Ultimate A, or hydroxypinacolone retinoate (HPR), such as Acceler-A

- Niacinamide, such as Vitamin B or XCell B

- Vitamin C in the form of L-ascorbic acid, like Pure C Crystals, or 3-O ethyl ascorbic acid, such as EfficaC

- Physical solar protection, such as ÜberZinc, or Synergie Minerals foundations

- Pigment inhibiting ingredients, like tranexamic acid found in EnLighten, should also be considered when treating hyperpigmentation disorders and higher Fitzpatrick skin types.

For discussions and insights, the skin forum in Burleigh offers valuable information, as does the skin forum Chirn, where professionals share their experiences and recommendations.

Lactic Brightening Peel

The Lactic Acid Peel is a type of alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) known for its highly active yet gentle chemical exfoliation. Available at skin clinics in Burleigh, this peel enhances the skin's natural moisture levels, inhibits tyrosinase production to reduce pigmentation, and stimulates basal cell mitosis for improved skin firmness and texture. It is particularly beneficial for addressing solar damage, premature aging, fine lines, dehydration, and hyperpigmentation. For more information, you can visit the skin forum Burleigh or the skin forum Chirn.

Lactic acid enhances natural moisture properties, inhibits tyrosinase production, and stimulates basal cell mitosis for firmer, hydrated, and evenly toned skin. Meanwhile, salicylic acid offers deep pore purification, exfoliation, and powerful anti-inflammatory action, making it ideal for treating congested and problematic skin. For those dealing with issues such as acne, congestion, premature aging, solar damage, fine lines, dehydration, and hyperpigmentation, our skin forum Burleigh provides expert advice and solutions. AHA/BHA Layered Peel

Salicylic Acid Peels are a type of beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) peel offered at our skin clinic in Burleigh, known for their ability to deeply exfoliate the skin while effectively targeting oiliness, acne, and inflammation. By penetrating deep into the pores, these peels help to clear blockages, reduce acne, and refine the skin's texture. This makes them particularly effective for individuals with oily, acne-prone skin or those seeking a smoother, more even complexion. For more information, you can visit the skin forum Burleigh or the skin forum-Chirn, where we discuss ideal treatments for problematic acne, congestion, and inflammation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@skinhalcyon.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.

While some clients see visible improvement after just one session, we generally recommend a course of 4 to 6 treatments, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart, for optimal and lasting results.

You may experience a mild tingling or warmth as the solution is applied. Treatments typically take 30–45 minutes, and your skin specialist will monitor your skin closely throughout. After the peel is neutralised, a calming serum and SPF are applied.

A pre-treatment consultation is essential to assess your skin’s unique needs and determine the most suitable peel for you. During this consultation, we’ll select the right type and strength of peel to ensure both safety and effectiveness. For patients with higher Fitzpatrick classifications (darker skin tones), there is an increased risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) if the skin is not properly prepped before treatment, and aftercare instructions are not carefully followed.

Downtime varies depending on the strength of the peel. You may experience:

  • Mild redness or sensitivity
  • Light flaking or peeling (usually 2–5 days post-treatment)
  • You should avoid sun exposure, active skincare, and heat-based treatments during this time.

Avoid active ingredients (retinol, AHAs, BHAs) for at least 5-7 days, apply a gentle cleanser and nourishing moisturiser, use a broad-spectrum SPF daily, and do not pick or peel flaking skin — let it shed naturally

Patients with active cold sores (herpes simplex), severe rosacea, or sensitive skin may not be ideal candidates for specific peels due to stronger exfoliation. A patch test may be recommended for those with more sensitive or reactive skin to ensure the peel’s suitability.
