Terms and Conditions

Our booking system requires all clients to make appointments via our booking website with your card details as a security measure to protect small businesses against business lost from late cancellations and no shows. By scheduling an appointment you have read and agree to Skin Halcyon’s Terms & Conditions located on our website. A deposit is required for all Skin Services. For Nail Services a card is saved on file in the event of a no show or late cancellation.

Skin Halcyon understand last minute circumstances arise and will try to accomodate rescheduling or cancellation requests. You will receive a confirmation text and email reminder of your appointment 48 hours prior. If you need to cancel your appointment you are required by Skin Halcyon’s cancellation policy to provide no less than 48 hours notice. Cancellation within 48 hours = 50% cancellation fee.

Cancellation within 24 hours = 100% cancellation fee.

No show = 100% cancellation fee.

Cancellation fee is based on the total cost of the service booked and intended on receiving. For example if you booked BIAB infill and simple nail art for $70 your cancellation fee is $35 at 50% or $70 at 100%. If you reschedule twice in a row you will be charged for the total of your service and blacklisted. Your card details are stored on file once a booking is made and will be charged through our system if the above applies. 

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and you will be charged 100% cancellation fee so please be respectful of our time and our clients after you. 

Skin Halcyon does not offer refunds on cancellation/ no show fees. During your appointment our nail tech will ask you if you are happy with your nails so please let us know if there is something you are not happy with as we do not provide refunds. Please remember we are a business and these policies are in place to protect ourselves and our other clients. You agree to these terms upon booking your appointment. Thank you for your understanding.

With traffic increasing on the Gold Coast with lot's of construction, we have a grace period of up to 10 minutes for late arrivals. Please note, however, that if you are more than 10 minutes late, we may have to downgrade your treatment to make up for lost time. If you are more than 20 minutes late, and we cannot get in contact with you, your appointment will be marked as a No Show and our booking system will apply the relevant fee.

If you are experiencing lifting, discolouration, flaking of your nails or any other signs of infection, please respect our staff and other clients by cancelling your appointment and consulting your local healthcare professional. We reserve the right to refuse service to any client with a suspected fungus or nail infection. 

Please ensure any allergies, sensitivities or injuries are disclosed to our staff PRIOR to and on arrival to your appointment so that we can make the necessary modifications to look after you.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have booked your appointment correctly (including any nail art, nail repairs, and/or removal of gel products), to avoid disappointment on the day. If you do need to edit your appointment, please call our clinic with advance notice, and we will happily assist you with updating your booking.  

We take time and care to manually remove gel products, preventing damage to your natural nails. This removal process takes 20-25 minutes to complete. If you arrive at your appointment needing a removal and you have not booked one, we will downgrade your treatment to make up the time. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have booked your appointment correctly to avoid disappointment. Please note: $30 surcharge applies for removal of gel products not from our salon and $10 for 4th appointments requiring removal and reappliation.

Gel Polish is not available for children under the age of 18 years old. Clients aged 16+ can opt to have Gel Polish applied, with written consent from a parent or legal guardian acknowledging the risks and accepting responsibility for any damage that may occur to their developing nails.  

Please be mindful that this is a space of relaxation and restoration with other rooms offering different services. We ask that you honour their experience, and if possible not have your child in attendance however if this is not applicable please ensure your little ones respect the space and keep noise to a minimum while in the clinic.
