Dermal Filler

Dependant on the area and quantity of product, treatments can take 30 minutes or up to 1 hour. To minimise pain and discomfort a topical anaesthetic is applied to certain areas prior to treatment. Injecting tiny, fine needles can cause bleeding, swelling, and bruising.

It is vital that patients do not touch the area injected post treatment, do not exercise for 24 hours, do not consume alcohol, or receive facial massages or skin treatments such as skin needling or invasive facial treatments for at least 4 weeks. 

All products are non-permanent and come in varying types to suit all facial areas and desired results. These can last anywhere from 6-18 months depending the quantity of product and factors including lifestyle habits, age, skin integrity, sun exposure, and amount of product used. 

Treatment results are immediate, however bruising and swelling can be present for up to 4 weeks post treatment. Please allow 4 weeks for results to improve as it takes roughly 2-4 weeks for the product to seamlessly integrate into the natural tissue. 

We recommend retreating 6-12 months post original treatment to allow the consistency of the product to integrate and remain longer. 

 It’s important to note that the recommended amount will vary depending on the individual's volume loss, skin quality, and desired results. Nurse Sarah will be able to provide a tailored treatment plan for you. 

• If you are pregnant (or trying to get pregnant).
• If you are Breastfeeding.
• Under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
• If the treating Nurse feels that the patient should not be treated, they are able to refuse treatment based on their medical judgement.
• Any patients under the age of 18 years (even with a parents written consent).
